Three Remaining Contestants on MNET Superstar K season 2!

Mnet’s Superstar K2 has been receiving much love from Korean audiences, reaching beyond 15% viewer ratings despite being on a cable channel. On October 8th, the top 4 contestants fought to make it into the top 3.
For the fourth live broadcast of Superstar K2, the performance venue was moved to the Kyung Hee University’s Peace Hall to accommodate the many fans who wanted to attend the shows. Prior to receiving their weekly mission, they were given a pre-mission in which the top 4 contestants had to perform for an audience of Americans in KoreaKang Seung Yoon rocked out to Muse’s “Time is Running Out“, Jang Jae In enjoyed the stage singing to Duffy’s “Mercy“, Huh Gak showed a new side of himself as he sang Bon Jovi’s “You Give Love a Bad Name“, and John Park won the hearts of the women in the audience singing Maroon 5’s “Sunday Morning.” Huh Gak won the pre-mission, giving him the power to decide the order of performances for the live broadcast.
Unique singer/songwriter Jang Jae In opened the show with her rendition of Uhm Jung Hwa’s “Invitation“, as was rumored prior to the show.  Next up was ballad singer Huh Gak with his cover  ofLee Seung Chul’s “Don’t Say Goodbye.” Following Huh Gak was the soulful John Park, who received the highest total judges’ vote for second consecutive week with his jazzy performance of Lee Seung Chul’s “Nights When I Can’t Even Sleep.” Lastly,  charismatic rocker Kang Seung Yoon gave his best performance yet with his cover of Yoon Jong Shin’s “By Instinct.”
In previous weeks, regardless of having received rather poor judges scores, Kang Seung Yoon was able to avoid elimination due to viewer’s votes. Unfortunately this week, he was not able to beat out the popularity of the top 3 contestants.
